Tunnel To The Light

This painting which was inspired by the legend of Plato's cave, seems to conceal an optimistic view under the coat of monotonous darkness. The individual , in spite of having no face, is left with the hope of a struggle towards the light of brighter days.

Rachel, a second generation of the holocaust, student of Baruch Elron optimistic yet melancholic, painted this picture, oil on canvas, in 1999. The technic used is an antient " chiaro scuro " covered with thin layers of diluted oil paint.
